Multi-testers that measure and judge brakes, headlights, and speedometers at the same location are very popular because they require few operations during the inspection.

Currently, one of the two lines equipped with this multi-tester is not available and is busy every day.

And recently, OJT for new inspectors has been accelerating the congestion.

“The exhaust noise is out of the standard, so please reconfirm on an initial inspection line.”

Certainly it is equipped with a non-genuine muffler, but it has also acquired the JASMA(Japan Automotive Sport Muffler Association) standard and there is no significant increase in volume.

I think that the task of inspecting vehicles one after another without any omission is difficult. However, even with simple measurements, an increase in labor involves traffic jams.

On the “initial inspection line”, which requires a long time per inspection vehicle, we waited a long time, and the result of the reinspection was “OK”.

I hope that newcomers who try to measure non-genuine muffler sound volume accurately with a simple microphone will train their hearing like a skilled inspector.
