Subaru R2 engine malfunction (CBA-RC1 EN07 engine warning light on)

8/4/2019 By ITS Leave a Comment

The trouble of the electrical system is frequent in the intense heat of every day.

One of them, it was quite good condition until the day before, but i was informed that it was sudden engine trouble.

Subaru R2 MY2004 CBA-RC1 EN07 CVT Mileage 86,000km

It is said that the engine warning light was turned on on on the go, and it was self-propelled to the home while becoming upset.Because I was not able to prepare for the check-in immediately, I decided to inform you of the state when I restarted after i cooled the engine once.

Even after the engine cooled, the engine malfunction continued, and it was difficult to come to the store by self-propelled, so it was a tow truck transport.

The engine warning light remained on, as it did when i arrived. The extremely low acceleration is probably due to the engine and transmission operating in safe mode.

The diagnostic result by G-Scan was a short circuit of the currently advanced ISC valve.

ISC valve to control idling rotation. The failure mode due to the internal short circuit of the stepping motorized ISC valve with four coils may be overcurrent destroying the IC on the output stage of the engine ECU.

This time we are moving to safe mode at the same time as the internal short circuit, so we expect that the configured safe mode protects the engine ECU.

In the single inspection, one of the four coils was short-circuited (measurement value 1-2 ohm, normal value is about 30 ohms).

The new ISC valve was about 1/3 cheaper than other manufacturers.

After the new replacement, fortunately the engine operated smoothly, I think that it was good to be able to avoid expensive ECU replacement.

And, the yellowing removal of the headlight which was ordered in addition and the air conditioning additive injection.

First of all, from the treatment of the headlights.

The yellowing caused by ultraviolet rays progresses in a short period of time though it was polished lightly regularly at 15 years of age.

Small double action removes yellowing layers.

The compound and towel buff with excellent cutting power give out the gloss at once.

Finally, I think that the headlight coating of the takt is applied, and it prevents yellowing this summer.

Next, power air conditioner plus of the reputation that the feeling effect is very high. The contents are not detailed, but I think that it is a lubricant of the fluororesin system.

The heat is still going on this year.It would be nice if we could see an improvement in the reduction of the compressor load and the effectiveness of the air conditioner during traffic jams.
